Eligibility and Consideration Criteria
Deadline
Apply by 11:59 pm ET March 1!
September 30: Six Flags Associates, RAAM, and Maintenance Scholarships; October 13: Buckeye Broadband BCSN-Erie Scholarship; November 10: Harry DeLapp Scholarship; February 1: Ohio Athletic Committee Scholarship
Residency
Residency requirements vary by scholarship — please refer to the specific scholarship(s) you are applying to for specific residency information.
GPA
Minimum 2.0 GPA or higher as required by specific scholarships.
Schooling Requirements
Students pursuing a post-secondary undergraduate education enrolled full-time in a degreed program attending an accredited, nonprofit university, community college, or vocational/trade school in the United States.

Transcripts
Submit official transcripts from your College Bursar’s Office or High School Guidance Office.

FAFSA
Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and submit your Student Aid Report (SAR).

Interview
Erie County Community Foundation’s Scholarship Committee may request to interview applicants as part of the selection process.

Awards
Awards are paid directly to post-secondary accredited educational institutions, not to individuals or bookstores.
Timeline
Erie County Community Foundation’s Board of Directors renders final scholarship decisions in April.
In January, Erie County Community Foundation will contact those students eligible for scholarship renewals. If your scholarship is renewable, you must reapply each year. Renewals, including the amount awarded, are not automatic or guaranteed—they are competitive and awarded at the committee’s discretion.
